
Privately held, ABT is headquartered in Great Neck, New York, with a sales and marketing office in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey.
Charles Bibas, founder and CEO of ABT Internet, Inc. was educated at the Technion in Haifa, Israel, which awarded him a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCE). Mr. Bibas joined Barcode Industries, where he developed both hardware and software for barcode readers, including the first interface for Federal Express's barcode scanner application. Mr. Bibas was subsequently recruited by Perkin Elmer Instruments' Metco Division (now a division of Sulzer), where he was credited with building patented manufacturing process technologies for General Motors, Toyota, Lexus, Pratt and Whitney, Garrett, and other notables in the automotive and aircraft industries.
Mr. Bibas launched ABT Internet in 1995 in order to provide back-end, inventory management, and security solutions to address the technology requirements of eCommerce. He also established Advanced Barcode Technology, Inc., which markets a superior barcode solutions to both domestic and international Auto ID markets portfolio of back-end, inventory management, and security solutions.
Stephen A. Bauman, vice president of engineering for ABT Internet, Inc., leads the company's integrated programming activities. Mr. Bauman received both BSEE and MSEE degrees from MIT, where he later taught computer engineering. His extensive programming and engineering background includes the software design of the Apollo navigation computer and development of the PageNet Network for delivering paging information over the Internet.
